SARF believes that co-producing policy with communities leads to more effective decision-making that can begin to tackle poverty.
To achieve this we:
- Connect with communities through a wide range of different approaches
-
Influence national, regional and local policy design and implementation by translating policy for communities to be able to bring change through social action.
-
Providing ideas, evidence and support for voluntary and community sector organisations, statutory agencies and the private sector to address poverty.
This is implemented through a range of activities that includes:
-
Action research that engages a diverse range of communities and connects with policy-makers to bring positive social change ;
-
Co-produced policy development;
-
Innovative community engagement;
-
Seminars and events; and
-
Training programmes designed to offer practical and manageable solutions to issues around influence, power and poverty
